# Integrate Azure AI Search with Microsoft Foundry - a no code approach

Assume that you already have an Azure AI Search service running on Azure and want to integrate it with Microsoft Foundry to build an AI-powered application. In this scenario, you do not need to create a new search service or re-index your data if your existing index is ready to use. Instead, you can connect your existing search service and index to a Microsoft Foundry project and configure an AI agent to retrieve information from it.

In this video I provide a step by step approach to integrate these two services.

After successful integration your existing Azure AI Search service becomes a knowledge source for your Microsoft Foundry agent. Users can ask questions in natural language and receive answers based on the underlying indexed data instead of completely relying solely on the AI model's general knowledge and trained data.

This approach is useful for custom enterprise and document search applications.
